The latest title update for Call of Duty: Ghosts will introduce Black Ops’ Gun Game game type, Infinity Ward has revealed.

Gun Game replaces Heavy Duty, the game type first introduced to Ghosts last month, and sees players competing in a free-for-all battle, starting the match with a pistol and unlocking more powerful weaponry with each successive kill.

The mode was first introduced as a Wager Mode in the original Call of Duty: Black Ops and was well-received by players. Those wishing to continue playing Heavy Duty can do so by adjusting health options in Private Matches.

The title update is scheduled to hit Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC today, with a PS4 and PS3 update scheduled for tomorrow, January 29.

As well as introducing the new mode, the update includes numerous balancing tweaks and overall improvements, including load time improvements and adjustments made to the Dead Silence perk, which now makes players completely silent.

Kinect support has been improved on the Xbox One version, too, and there’s also new multiplayer lobby menu music for those tired of hearing Ghosts’ original audio.

For the full list of improvements included in the latest update, head through to the Call of Duty website.

Call of Duty: Ghosts’ first DLC pack ‘Onslaught’ launches on Xbox One and Xbox 360 today.
