UPDATE 2: Following our earlier update, Activision has since contacted VideoGamer.com to confirm that the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts will actually be available from November 15. The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U and PC versions will continue to be available on November 5.

UPDATE 1: Activision has denied that the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts has been delayed, telling VideoGamer.com that “COD: Ghosts is available across PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Wii U from the 5th November.”

ORIGINAL STORY: The Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts has been delayed until Friday, November 15, according to an independent retailer.

That Game Shop claims to have been told by its distributor that “the release date for COD: Ghosts has slipped from the 5th to 15th November,” but that “the slippage only affects Xbox One” in the UK.

The retailer claims that “stock shortages” are the reason for the delay.

Call of Duty: Ghosts had previously been expected to launch on Xbox One next Tuesday, November 5, alongside every other version. The PS4 version is still presumed to be on track for release next week.

Of course, the delay doesn’t matter too much: nobody will get to play the game until Xbox One launches a week later on November 22 anyway.

VideoGamer.com has contacted Activision UK for comment.
