Upgrading your copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts from PS3 to PS4 or from Xbox 360 to Xbox One will cost players a suggested retail price of £10, Activision has announced.

The PlayStation upgrade is part of Sony’s digital upgrade program, which will also enable early next-gen adopters to upgrade current gen versions of Battlefield 4 and Watch Dogs to next-gen editions. Further games will also be announced as part of the program.

Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg also confirmed that Xbox One gamers won’t miss out.

“Retail programs, announced by Amazon and GameStop allow our players to upgrade from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts for £10 as well,” said Hirshberg.

He added: “We have also previously announced that for a limited time our players will bring all of their Season Pass Content and all of their in-game progress with them within a console family, for no additional charge. We have the best fans in the world, and we want to make this transition as seamless and easy for them as possible. And there’s more news to come on that front. Stay tuned.”

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be released November 5 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U. The PS4 edition will be available alongside the console on November 29, whilst the Xbox One version will launch in November whenever the console is released.
