Treyarch is dropping a surprise update for 2020’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War which will be available later today.
As per the Call of Duty blog, the update will include a new remaster of a classic Black Ops map for Multiplayer. The WMD map first appeared in the original Call of Duty: Black Ops in 2010. Set in a lost facility in the mountains, players will have to keep eyes peeled high & low for potential threats. Watch out for snipers on the Silo, but also be wary of threats hiding in the ground containers.
In addition to the new map, the update includes a new Weapon in the Vargo 52. Described as a versatile assault rifle, it does good damage at a mid-range with a fast fire rate. To unlock the gun in Multiplayer, you’ll need to do 1000 damage with Assault Rifles across 15 different completed matches. Meanwhile, in Zombies you’ll have to eliminate 750 of the undead with an AR that’s been Pack-A-Punched three times.
Finally, the update also includes a Tracer Pack: Ferro Fury Reactive Mastercraft bundle. This bundle includes the Ferrorfluid AR blueprint, the Viscosideath LMG blueprint and the Liquid Metal SMG blueprint. It also includes weapon charms, calling cards, reticules and gestures too.
The update should be available to download now in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
