Activision has polished off a new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta trailer, giving us our first brief glimpse at the game's new battle royale mode, Blackout.

When we say brief we're not over exaggerating; it's about 13 seconds long, and doesn't really tell you all that much, other the fact it'll see people getting shot and stuff being blown up. So, it's definitely Call of Duty, then.

The rest of the trailer focuses on the upcoming multiplayer beta, which will be arriving on PlayStation 4 from August 3 and other platforms shortly afterwards.

Black Ops 4 will then receive a Blackout beta in September, although Activision is keeping mum on any details at the moment. In fact, not much is known about Blackout in general right now, although it's rumoured to feature a max player count of 60.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is hitting PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 12.
