Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout mode has received a lengthy gameplay trailer, offering players their first proper glimpse at the shooter's take on the battle royale genre.
The beta for Blackout will kick off on September 10 for PlayStation 4 players, while PC and Xbox One gamers get in on the action four days later. It'll support a whopping 80 players, more than rival Battlefield V's Firestorm battle royale mode.
Blackout pleasingly looks, well, like a battle royale mode. There's gunfights, choppers, explosions, grappling hooks, machine guns, and even zombies. So yeah, it pretty much does what it says on the tin.
Treyarch recently confirmed a slew of additional details on its Black Ops 4 battle royale offering, including the fact it won't feature cross-play and may not hit 60fps.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is scheduled for release on October 12 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Unlike previous entries in the first-person shooter series, the next Call of Duty won't feature a proper single-player campaign.
