Activision and Infinity Ward have announced that Call of Duty 2 will be released this autumn for the PC. The sequel to one of the most successful World War 2 games ever made is set to deliver more on all fronts, with a proprietary new game engine that brings together stunning visuals and advanced AI.
Call of Duty 2 will let players experience four individual storylines as soldiers battle against the odds in multiple campaigns. If the campaign isn’t providing enough instant action for your liking a new historic battle game mode will be available that puts you straight into the action.
“Our team at Infinity Ward is committed to thrusting gamers into the heat of battle like no other, taking players on a thrill-ride of adrenaline that leaves everyone gasping for air,” states Grant Collier, president, Infinity Ward. “In Call of Duty 2, we are creating the most intense and realistic action game imaginable with a stunning visual atmosphere and an advanced technology that delivers an unprecedented level of authenticity.”
Expect to here a lot about Call of Duty 2 at this year’s E3 Expo, particularly if the game is an Xbox 2 launch title as rumoured.
