Relentless Software has teamed up with publisher Chillingo (now a division of Electronic Arts) on Quiz Climber, a new game due for release on the iPhone in the spring.
Quiz Climber is a social quiz in which players pit their knowledge against friends. The game will feature thousands of questions, with things getting harder the further up they climb.
“We thought it would be great if you could play a quiz with all your friends and family and see how well you did,” said Andrew Eades, executive director at Relentless Software. “The gameplay sounds simple but it’s amazingly addictive as you overtake your friends whilst climbing the leaderboards. Every game we make is designed to appeal to as broad an audience as possible and we see this audience growing exponentially over the next 5-10 years. Whether you use a console, connected TV, iPhone or a browser to play, we’ll be making games that are easy to understand and fun for you – Quiz Climber is our next step in making our games available to and played by everyone.”
Relentless Software is most well known for the Buzz! quiz series, which have appeared on PS2, PSP and PS3. Given its history, we have no reason to think Quiz Climber won’t be an entertaining quiz game. The big question on everyone’s lips, though, is whether or not it can better the amazing MovieCat?
