Properly hardcore gamers (not just people that play CoD for 12 hours a day) have been buying PCBs of their favourite arcade games for some time, and now developer Cave has begun selling them directly to customers.

The first game to be made available is shmup Akai Katana. The bad news is that the PCB will set you back £1500 and you’ll also need a JAMMA control box and arcade cabinet.

For the money you get a few bonus items and certain changes have been made to the PCB compared to the arcade edition.

PCB Changes

– Stage select

You can optionally select which stage to start. Perfect for those who want to play from the middle stage or to practice only a specific stage.

– Balance Adjustment for individual users

Game balance has been adjusted from the PCB commercial version to this individual user version. Also, in addition to the same difficulty level as the commercial one, this has a higher level version.

Bonus items

Bonus 1: B1 size poster (Non-modified ver.)

Bonus 2: Sword-shaped screwdriver for volume adjustment use
