EA’s Burnout Paradise is without doubt the biggest release of the month and the first real chance this year for gamers to compare a high profile multi-format game on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. We’ve tried to get the footage from the two versions as close to each other as possible so you can judge for yourself which looks the best.

For those that care about these things, we tried to make the comparison as fair as possible. While both the Xbox 360 and PS3 support HDMI out, our debug Xbox 360 only supports component, so we captured from both consoles using this method. Both consoles were set to 720p output and all other visual settings were set to default. We believe that the majority of gamers plug and play when it comes to console gaming, so these settings best reflect what the games will look like for most people.
