Through an interaction on Twitter (via VG247), we've learned that Bungie is eager to get PC, Xbox, PS4, and Stadia players to play together.

Last week, Bungie announced a ton of Destiny 2 news: all year one content is going free-to-play — you'll have to pay for anything past that, like the upcoming Shadowkeep standalone expansion; cross-play support is coming, meaning you'll be able to transfer characters between platforms; and, yes, it's coming to Stadia and Steam.

Kotaku's Jason Schreier said on Twitter, referencing a recent interview, that the studio wants to make cross-play happen,as well, 'but Stadia makes it tough.'

Destiny general manager Mark Noseworthy replied, saying 'Stadia as a platform doesn’t make implementing Cross Play any harder actually. We’re focused on Cross Save this year (for all platforms). Cross Play is absolutely something we’re interested in doing some day, but we have a lot on our plate to chew through first!'

I'm enjoying this nice time in games where companies are working together so as to not fragment the audience. It's all a bit lovely, isn't it?

Shadowkeep, which is out September 17, sees you head back to the moon. You can check out this video from the studio to learn more.
