Bungie creative director Marcus Lehto has revealed via the official Halo: Reach development blog that the studio plans to reveal a “multiplayer bomb” very shortly.

“I hope you all like the MP bomb we’re about to drop on the world in about a day,” wrote Lehto.

What he’s referring too isn’t known: a new game type perhaps, increased player counts per game or something completely different. All should be revealed shortly.

In the same blog post, Lehto also revealed that the results of the first full Halo: Reach campaign playtests are in, with scores reported to be much higher than any of Bungie’s previous titles at this stage in development.

Halo: Reach is scheduled for release in the autumn, only on Xbox 360.
