The Bulletstorm Epic Edition will only be available to purchase at GAME and Gamestation stores, Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski has confirmed.
The Epic Edition is a special edition version of the game – priced the same as the regular edition – which includes early access to the Gears of War 3 public beta and a bunch of other extras: 25,000 experience points, visual upgrades for the leash, a deadly Peace Maker Carbine, boots and armour.
The Epic Edition arrives in the UK alongside the standard editions on February 25. Bulletstorm will also be available on PS3 and PC in regular and Limited Editions (includes the bonus in-game content detailed above).
If you’re paying the same as the regular edition then we don’t see any harm in incentivising the purchase with bonus content. The promise of early access to the Gears 3 beta should also ensure a healthy audience for the game on Xbox 360.
The problem with the game’s PS3 release remains its direct competition with Killzone 3 – both titles hit stores on February 25.
