A Bulletstorm demo will be released on January 25 for Xbox 360 and January 26 on PSN, developer People Can Fly and Epic Games have announced.
The demo features a sample of the score and stat-based Echo mode in which players traverse a collapsed building on the deadly paradise planet Stygia as ex-Dead Echo leader Grayson Hunt.
Players will also be able make use of the Skillshot system, which encourages increasingly creative ways to kill enemies using an range of weapons: a futuristic assault rifle called the Peace Maker Carbine, to the Flail Gun, which fires two grenades linked by a chain, and the Screamer, a powerful revolver that turns enemies into human fireworks. More than 45 skillshots are featured in the demo.
The Bulletstorm demo also allows players to unlock platform-specific upgrades to use in the full game’s Anarchy mode, from the Crimson Leash to Stealth Armor, when they purchase the full game.
All this comes ahead of the game’s February 25 release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Xbox 360 owners can opt for the Bulletstorm Epic Edition, which grants early access to the Gears of War 3 beta, plus bonus in-game content. A Limited Edition will be available for the PS3 and PC, including additional bonus content.
