Multiverse, the developer behind the planned Buffy and Firefly MMOs, has closed down.
In a message on its official website, Multiverse stated that while “thousands of developers” were interested in using Multiverse’s middleware to develop projects, the firm ceased operations in December “due to lack of funding”.
A new unauthorised Firefly MMO is currently in the works from developer DarkCryo Entertainment – it looks terrible.
