Budget PSP complete specification revealed

The technical specifications of the recently announced PSP-E1000, a budget PSP, have been released, confirming the unit to be larger and heavier than the current PSP-3000.

The handheld is 172.4 x 73.4 x 21.6 mm compared to the PSP-3000’s 169.4 x 71.4 x 18.6 mm, and weighs 223g including its battery, compared to 189g of the 3000.

The screen size is the same 4.3 inches, but you’ve got a mono speaker and a matte finish. There’s also no WiFi so you’ll be playing games on UMDs only.

Game saves will be stored on a Memory Stick PRO Duo.

The PSP-E1000 was announced at €99, suggesting UK pricing in the region of £85 to £100. Sony’s said it’ll be out this autumn.
