During a Q&A with Jack Black at E3 2017, Double Fine Productions’ Tim Schafer said that a Brutal Legend sequel will be made some day, according to Gamespot.

The panel, Jack Black in Conversation with Tim Schafer, was part of Geoff Keighley’s (The Game Awards) E3 Coliseum event which is effectively a whole host of panels involving a cavalcade of developers.

At the beginning of the talk, an eager E3-goer from the crowd shouted something about Brutal Legend 2, which led Schafer to say that ‘Someday we’ll make that game.’ However, he did add that it would cost a pretty penny to develop, which implies that if it ever does get made, it won’t be for a very long time.

The original Brutal Legend was released in 2009 and has garnered cult status amongst fans since. It’s a difficult game to describe as it had hack n’ slash elements, as well as some RTS battles thrown in for good measure.

Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford was good in it, as far as I can remember.
