Brutal pixel art sidescrolling shooter Butcher, described as a “blood-soaked love letter to the cult classics of the genre”, will soon be releasing on PS4 and Xbox One, developer Transhuman Design has announced.

“As a cyborg programmed to eradicate the last remains of humanity, your sole purpose is to well… annihilate anything that moves,” explains the game’s blurb.

You’ll need to kill anything in your way as you progress through underground hideouts, post-apocalyptic cities, jungles and more.

The game launched for PC back in October 2016, with the console port being handled by Crunching Koalas.

“Well, I gotta say, we’re pretty excited, and hopefully you will be too when the game launches later this year,” commented MichaÅ‚ Marcinkowski, Founder of Transhuman Design.
