Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse will release worldwide on PS4 and Xbox One on September 4, Revolution has announced.

The game will be available physically and digitally for £19.99, with the retail version throwing in a printed comic book of the game’s prelude. A new gameplay trailer released to mark the announcement can be seen below.

“We are thrilled to be bringing Broken Sword 5 – the Serpent’s Curse to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September – and delighted to be partnering, again, with Koch Media,” said Revolution CEO Charles Cecil. “We have had the opportunity to make numerous enhancements including more animations, better audio and some exclusive content in the form of a character gallery section.”

If you’re heading out to Gamescom next week, don’t forget that Revolution has some special rewards on offer for those who turn up in Broken Sword cosplay, with a PS4 also set to be won by one lucky treasure hunter.
