Publisher Playism has released a new gameplay trailer for upcoming shooter-slasher Bright Memory: Infinite.

If you remember from the game’s reveal last year, Bright Memory: Infinite is all the work of one developer, Xiancheng Zeng. In it, you’ll be extending combos and chaining attacks between both guns and melee weapons. And of course, you’ll have special abilities such as dashing and a pulse ability that apparently alters time and gravity. You’ll need both mastery of bullets and blades to take on the game’s many enemies. Some of which include supernatural foes, mythological creatures and futuristic super-soldiers.

The plot takes place in 2036, where a black-hole like phenomenon has appeared in the sky. As Shelia, a member of the Supernatural Science Research Organisation, it’s up to you to investigate the black holes that’s causing the crossing over of worlds and endangering the planet.

Zeng says in a quote: “The moment of Bright Memory: Infinite’s release is getting closer. The things I have learned from Bright Memory’s release on Steam and Xbox Series X|S taught me a lot and allowed me to make so many improvements to Infinite. I hope my project motivates other indie devs to never give up on what they can accomplish.”

There’s still no solid release date for the game just yet. However, it is expected to launch later this year on Xbox Series X|S and PC. You can check out the Bright Memory: Infinite gameplay trailer for yourself below.
