The Bowsette phenomenon shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon, with the Princess Peach/Bowser hybrid now making her way into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Lynard Killer has cooked up a new work-in-progress mod that gives Link the boot in favour of allowing you to play as Bowsette. She comes kitted out in a striking black dress complete with its own physics, and has access to all the usual bits and bobs that Link would normally get his hands on.

The mod itself isn't available for download yet, but you can keep up with all the latest developments on its info page (via GoNintendo).

In case you missed out on the whole Bowsette craze, the character was created by artist Ayyk92 for a comic strip and was published online last month. The design is based on the effects of the Super Crown power-up, which is available for Toadette in Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and allows her to transform into Peachette.

The artist pondered what would happen if the Super Crown landed on Bowser's noggin, and hence Bowsette was born.
