Gearbox is making some welcome changes to the loot system in Borderlands 3's cooperative mode, ensuring players will no longer have to fight over a stash of goodies.

Previously, all players were able to spy loot drops in Borderlands, which resulted in a mad dash for the best items. For Borderlands 3, however, every player will have unique loot drops that only they can see, so there's no scrapping it out for the best gear.

Interestingly enough, if you feel like going back to how things used to play out, you can switch to Borderlands 2's loot drops system if you want.

Borderlands 3 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on September 13. The game will receive three special editions, and will be a timed-exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
