Borderlands 2 will be expanded this October with the release of the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak Challenge DLC.

The $5 DLC includes a new map in which Patricia Tannis will let players take on high-level enemies in order to “over level” to earn new loot. Players will be able to level up to 72, an 11 level increase over the current limit.

A free update will also introduce new backpack, ammo and bank slots.

Also on the way are a series of Headhunter packs, bringing new missions and boss fights. The first of these planned releases is T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest, which sends players to fight giant pumpkin boss Jaques O’Lantern. There’s no specific info on pricing or release date.

All the new content is being released outside of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass, which was completed with the launch of Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.
