Paddy Power is taking bets on how long Grand Theft Auto IV will remain atop the UK All Formats Video Game chart. According to the bookie the most likely time frame is 4-6 weeks with odds of 7/4. A ten week reign at the top currently offers tempting odds of 9/2.
The game deemed most likely to replace GTA 4 – everyone’s assuming it bumps Wii Fit off the top next week – is Wii Fit (6/4), followed by Mario Kart Wii (3/1) and UEFA Euro 2008 (6/1).
“There’s no doubt about it, Grand Theft Auto IV is the biggest game of the year,” said Paddy Power’s Sharon McHugh. “How long it stays at the top spot will depend on how quickly people snap it up. One thing is for sure though; it’ll take something special to knock it off number one.”
