For the longest time, the Bloodborne community has asked FromSoftware to remaster the haunting hit Soulslike. Unfortunately, to this day, the developer has not mentioned any intention of bringing a renewed Yharnam to current-gen consoles, much to the chagrin of the game’s ever-patient player base. But this could all change soon after Kai Cenat announced his plans to hold a continuous Bloodborne stream similar to his 100+ hour Elden Ring marathon.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Cenat revealed that on August 2 at 6 pm EST, he’ll be “playing Bloodborne until [he] beats it.” He later added in a separate post, “This [is] for the entire FromSoft community who’ve been wishing for a remaster on this game and [have] been wanting it on PC, many of you think I could make something shake…let’s see what happens!” Cenat’s announcement also came with a thematic custom trailer (featuring himself, of course), which you can watch below.
To provide a bit of context, Cenat’s previous Elden Ring base game and Shadow of the Erdtree livestreams were massively successful, with his initial romp in the Lands Between garnering an average of 96,400 viewers per day from May 13 to 19 (via Stream Hatchet). Unsurprisingly, his playthrough and the sheer number of people who watched ushered in a newfound appreciation and interest not only for Elden Ring but the rest of FromSoftware’s creations as well.

Of course, it may be farfetched to think that a Bloodborne livestream, no matter how influential, would be enough to sway FromSoftware into releasing a remaster that it has yet to mention. But there’s always a chance that the sudden boost in popularity the upcoming marathon would likely provide may be enough for the developers to take notice of the community’s wishes. For now, though, only time will tell if Cenat’s upcoming streaming event can help the community’s push for a current-gen Bloodborne port.
