Blizzard has announced plans to launch its own book publishing label, Blizzard Publishing, with its first original title set to be a special World of Warcraft colouring book.

The colouring book is said to include 80 pieces of concept art from the game which fans can take their creative eye to, and will retail in the US for $12.95.

Other books set to be officially published by the studio include previously released novels ‘Warcraft: The Last Guardian’ by Jeff Grub, ‘Warcraft: Lord of the Clans’ by Christie Golden, and ‘World of Warcraft: Rise of the Horde’, again by Christie Golden.

Manga titles Warcraft Legends: Volume One and Two will be re-released under Blizzard Publishing, too.

“Great stories and inspiring artwork have always been at the heart of everything we do,” said Blizzard’s SVP of story and franchise development Lydia Bottegoni. “The creation of Blizzard Publishing gives us new opportunities to celebrate the art and stories of our games with Blizzard gamers as well as fantasy and sci-fi fans around the world.”

The books will be available in book stores and from the Blizzard Gear store.
