Blizzard has announced plans for a World of Warcraft holiday sale, which will run until December 19.

The sale will include World of Warcraft expansions, with select items discounted up to 75 per cent.

Items sold on the official Blizzard Store will include a World of Warcraft Battle Chest for $5, the Cataclysm expansion for $20, Wrath of the Lich King for $10, a Celestial Steed mount for $10, and a Pandaren Monk pet for $5.

No official date has yet been given for the upcoming expansion Mists of Pandaria, however it’s likely we will see it late next spring as Blizzard traditionally has stuck to an 18 month development cycle on expansions.

The most recent major update for the game, Hour of Twilight hit November 29 and bridges the gap between Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria.
