Gears of War designer Cliff Bleszinski has offered to help Capcom “fix” Resident Evil.

“Hey, Capcom,” Bleszinski tweeted. “Call me. We can fix Resident Evil. Together. :-)”

Capcom UK responded asking him to “bring Pizza”.

Street Fighter IV’s producer Yoshinori Ono also got involved, appearing to ask if Bleszinski would be interested in helping out with Street Fighter, too.

“I’m very glad to hear it!” Ono said, quoting Bleszinski’s tweet. “Do u interested in Street Fighter? ;P”

Bleszinski left Epic Games last month after a 20-year tenure at the studio, saying that he needs a “much needed break” from the industry.

He worked as lead designer on the Gears of War series, whose characters also appeared as bonus characters in Capcom’s third-person shooter Lost Planet 2.

Resident Evil 6 released earlier this month to divided critical opinion. It did, however, fare slightly better in the review stakes than March’s Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

We know Bleszinski is having a bit of fun on Twitter, but which flagging franchise would you like to see the former Gears man get involved with?
