This past weekend was the Capcom Cup Finals, and the developer took the opportunity to of course, reveal some new stuff for Street Fighter fans. We've already mentioned the 30th Anniversary Collection, but also announced were the six characters joining the roster in the third season of Street Fighter V's DLC content.
Sakura is up first when the season starts on January 16 2018, the same day as the Arcade Edition's release. She's got a new move in the form of the Tengyo Hadoken, which sees her launch a fireball into the air diagonally alongside her classic Hadoken, Shouoken, and Shunpukyaku. Her release will also see the return of her classic stage with the Kasugano Residence being added to the game.
Joining her later in the season will be the return of fan favourite characters Blanka, Sagat and Cody as well as two new characters in the form of G and Falke. These will be released later down the line with more information to come but you can see a brief tease in the Arcade Edition's new opening cinematic which was also revealed at the Capcom Cup event over the weekend.
Finally, the same day will also see some new special 30th Anniversary costumes released for M Bison, Guile, Ibuki and Karin with nostalgia costumes for Alex, Ibuki, Juri, Kolin and Akuma. There's more information should you need it on the Capcom blog. Street Fighter V Arcade Edition will release for PlayStation 4 and PC on January 16 2018.
