BioWare has told Mass Effect 3 players it wouldn’t be a “bad idea” to hold on to their save games – hinting that these might tie-in to future games in the series.

When asked by GamerZines about holding onto your save games, Mass Effect 3 producer Mike Gamble said “obviously I can’t say anything, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea…”

BioWare has promised that Shepard’s storyline will come to an end after Mass Effect 3, but could your save data be used in another game in the series?

The desire to take your decisions and results from game to game was one of the main selling points of the original Mass Effect. I always save Wrex.

Yesterday VideoGamer.com published its opinions of the first 90 minutes of Mass Effect 3.

Mass Effect 3 will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on March 9.
