2K Games has announced that BioShock for the PlayStation 3 is to be released at retailers in North America on October 21 and internationally on October 24.
Developed by 2K Marin, 2K Boston, 2K Australia and Digital Extremes, BioShock for PS3 may be hitting the console considerably later than PC and Xbox 360, but will feature exclusive content. In addition to a new Survivor difficulty mode and Trophy support the game will sport exclusive downloadable content in the form of Challenge Rooms.
The Challenge Rooms will test the mettle of new and veteran gamers by requiring them to utilise the knowledge and skills they have learned while traversing the halls of Rapture. This content will be available for download shortly after launch.
