BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea – Episode 1, the second add-on content pack for BioShock Infinite, will be released for download on November 12 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, 2K and Irrational Games have announced.
Developed by Irrational Games, Burial at Sea features a version of Rapture never before seen by players, built almost entirely from scratch in the BioShock Infinite game engine.
Booker and Elizabeth feature in a film noir-style story set on the eve of Rapture’s fall from grace. 2K also promises a stealthier affair, merging the best elements from the original BioShock and Infinite.
Burial at Sea – Episode 1 will be priced £9.99 or is included in the £15.99 Season Pass.
“This is a love letter to the fans, but it’s also the beginning of a story that will give gamers a new perspective on the BioShock universe,” said Ken Levine, creative director of Irrational Games. “With Burial at Sea, we built a Rapture not from BioShock and BioShock Infinite scraps and pieces, but with environments almost entirely crafted from scratch.”
Episode 2 is currently in development and promises to allow gamers to experience the world through the eyes of Elizabeth.
