While there’s been no official announcement on the matter, a 2K spokesperson has confirmed to CVG that BioShock 2 will be released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Furthermore, the publisher is aiming for a “simultaneous” release.

“We’re aiming for simultaneous release on all platforms (Xbox 360, PS3 and PC),” said the rep.

The first solid details on the game were revealed last week in US mag Game Informer, confirming that the sequel is set around seven years after events in the original and the underwater city of Rapture has fallen even further into despair. Players will take control of the first Big Daddy prototype and must choose to either harvest or protect the Little Sisters.

There’s also the new Big Sister, Big Daddy’s sidekick that steals little girls from nearby coastal towns.

The game’s scheduled for release before November 2009 and lots more info is expected over the next few weeks.
