2K has confirmed that BioShock 2 will not feature the subtitle, Sea of Dreams, despite reports to the contrary.
The game’s first trailer ended with the BioShock 2 logo and the words “Sea of Dreams” floating up from the bottom of the screen. At the time this was thought to be the subtitle to the highly anticipated sequel.
There’s been confusion since then, but 2K spokesman Charlie Sinhaseni has now confirmed the game will not feature a subtitle.
“We name most of our trailers at 2K and the name of the teaser trailer we released last October for BioShock 2 is called Sea of Dreams,” Sinhaseni told IGN. “There was talk about adding that as an official subtitle, but we decided to simply keep it BioShock 2. We’re sorry for the confusion, but we’re glad people are so interested.”
BioShock 2 is scheduled for release before November on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
