Bigpoint, the publisher behind Battlestar Galactica Online, has shown interest in rescuing the browser-based MMO Star Trek: Infinite Space from closing.
Bigpoint CEO Heiko Hubertz told OGLabs that they may co-publish the MMO, however an agreement has not been reached.
Star Trek: Infinite Space was threatened by layoffs this year when the firm announced it would be restructuring, then put the game’s beta on indefinite hold.
The game’s current publisher Gameforge is considering the offer.
