BBC iPlayer, the hugely popular catch-up TV service for BBC programming, is now available on Wii U, the BBC has announced.
You can download the 94mb app via the eShop.
You get your usual Wii U functionality such as off-TV viewing, plus there’s support for HD programming which is now to be expected given the majority of BBC’s output is now available in high definition.
The big screen version of iPlayer which formed the basis of the Wii’s support for the app was retired in 2014.
