A Tweet from Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya last night invited much excitement from the industry that a Bayonetta 2 reveal was incoming. It turns out, however, this was simply Kamiya ‘trolling’ on Twitter.
Platinum Games Atsushi Inaba – producer on the critically acclaimed hack ‘n slash – responded to his colleague’s comments, also on Twitter, saying “There is no such announcement!”.
According to Andriasang, who translated both sets of Tweets, Kamiya is known for pushing his Twitter jokes “to the limit”, and followers should beware of – what internet communities will know as – trolling.
Platinum Games is currently readying Anarchy Reigns, its latest title to be published by SEGA, for a January release.
