Battlefield Hardline will ship with 9 maps and 7 game modes, Visceral Games has confirmed.
General manager Steve Papoutsis confirmed the map count to Youtuber Jackfrags in an interview posted yesterday, revealing that “there’s actually 7 game modes, 9 multiplayer maps, a whole single-player campaign, a unique story, different weapons, new vehicles [and] eSports modes” set to be included in the final game.
“There’s just tonnes of stuff that I’m really happy to talk about and excited and proud of what the team’s doing,” he said.
In comparison, Battlefield 3 shipped with 9 maps and Battlefield 4 with 10, with the number of maps more than doubling via post-release DLC.
Some fans have already been able to get to grips with one Battlefield Hardline map, High Tension, which featured in the multiplayer beta earlier this year.
Battlefield Hardline launches on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in early 2015.
