Battlefield Hardline sales were higher than predicted, GAME’s CEO Marytn Gibbs has revealed, with EA’s shooter finishing March as the UK’s top-selling title.

“New releases are performing well,” Gibb said, discussing the retailer’s recent performance in the latest issue of MCV. “Battlefield Hardline performed above our forecast.”

While sales figures have yet to be announced by EA, the shooter managed to fend off other new releases Bloodborne, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Zombie Army Trilogy and the physical release of Dying Light to come in at the top of March’s monthly charts.

It has also remained the UK’s No.1 for four consecutive weeks following its launch on March 20, and topped the monthly charts in the US.
