Over 6 million people have already played the Battlefield Hardline beta, executive producer Steve Papoutsis has revealed.
“We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the community one more time,” Papoutsis wrote in a blog post celebrating the achievement.
“We love the two way dialogue we’ve established. And now that you’ve driven millions of miles in Hotwire, you’ve stolen billions of dollars in Heist, and you’ve continued to show mad love for Conquest, we can’t wait until you get a chance to play the whole package.”
While an impressive figure, it isn’t clear whether the stat refers to unique players or includes those testing the game on multiple platforms.
Battlefield Hardline’s beta opened to all players across PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC last week, allowing users to try out three of the game’s online modes ahead of next month’s launch.
One player even managed to hit the game’s level cap, having put over 70 hours of playtime into the beta.
“Now, I know what you’re asking yourself,” Papoutsis continued. “We’re just five weeks away from the launch of Battlefield Hardline, how could we possibly be acting on that feedback? Well, I can assure you we are. In fact, we’ve already been prioritizing changes for things fans are talking about.”
If you’ve yet to give the beta a try you only have a few hours left to do so: it’s scheduled to come to a close later today.
