Battlefield 4: Final Stand will take players to the Arctic landscape of Russia when it launches on all platforms later this year – and if you’re part of the Community Test Environment you can play it today.

Beginning today, one of the DLCs four new maps will be available to play on select servers each day, giving test players an early chance to check out Operation Whiteout, Hammerhead, Giants of Karelia and Hangar 21.

Alongside the new maps and location, Final Stand will introduce brand new futuristic weaponry to last year’s shooter, including a rail gun and a hover tank. Yep, you read that correctly. A hover tank.

“With Final Stand, we knew from the start that we wanted to evolve the Battlefield experience and offer weapons and vehicles that behave differently than anything else on the battlefield,” said DICE.

“Taking place on the artic landscape of Russia, where the scientists of today are experimenting with technology that will define the battlefields of tomorrow (Battlefield 2142, anyone?), Final Stand will deliver four maps that are unique and distinct. With its military installations set against a wintry landscape, expect intense, infantry-focused combat.”

Battlefield 4: Final Stand is due for release between October and December with Premium subscribers given two weeks early access.
