Battlefield 3’s first year sales estimate by analyst firm Cowen & Company has risen from 8 million to 11 million, reports Gamesindustry.biz.
Cowen & Company believe the upcoming military FPS is benefiting from an extensive marketing campaign, with pre-orders “roughly comparable” to 2010’s Call of Duty Black Ops. Activision and Treyarch’s title went on to sell over 20 million units worldwide.
DICE recently offered new details on its Battlefield 3 Battlelog service, and a Battlefield 3 novel written by Andy McNab and Patrick Bach has been spotted on Amazon.
