DICE has announced that the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass will be available to snap up completely free during the period September 11-18.

The pass will be yours once you grab it, so it's not a limited-time thing to enjoy. The Premium Pass adds a bunch of extra content for the World War I-based shooter, including expansions They Shall Not Pass, In the Name of the Tsar, Turning Tides, and Apocalypse.

This basically means you'll be getting heaps of new maps, new game modes and operations without spending a penny, plus additional weapons, classes, and vehicles.

DICE describes the offer as a way to 'capstone all the giveaways and rewards from the Road to Battlefield 5.'

Speaking of Battlefield V, the game will be turning up slightly later than expected, as DICE confirmed last week that it had pushed the game's release back to November.

Battlefield 1 was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in October 2016, and is easily one of the most competent first-person shooters of the current generation of consoles.

With the Premium Pass free later this month, there's never been a better time to see what all the fuss is about.
