Batman: Arkham World doesn’t appear to be the next title in development at Rocksteady, with Warner stating that reference to the possible game at the VGAs was made in jest only.
During a CGI acceptance speech by The Joker – who won Best Character – a script for Arkham World was clearly visible, with The Joker also joking that he’d spoiled a surprise. At the time it wasn’t clear if this was a joke on the part of Warner and Rocksteady or an early tease of what was on the way.
It turns out we needn’t have got excited.
“What was referenced in Rocksteady’s acceptance speech was added in good fun only,” a Warner rep told VG247.
It looks like we’ll be waiting a little longer for news on what’s next for Rocksteady.
