Supergiant’s hit isometric action-RPG Bastion is now available to buy on Xbox One – but you can download it for free if you already own it on Xbox 360.

The free download is available until January 1, 2017, after which previous owners will need to pay to play it on Xbox One. If you don’t already own Bastion on 360, you can download it today for £11.99.

The Xbox One version boasts 1080p visuals, additional achievements and the Stranger’s Dream DLC.

Bastion became famous for its unique story-telling mechanic, which narrates the player’s actions as they explore and fight across the world of Caelondia. Jamin, our reviewer, called the mechanic “incredibly satisfying” in his 9/10 review, but acknowledged that it was perhaps a little too “obscure” for some.
