Rare has announced that the Xbox LIVE Arcade port of Banjo-Tooie (handled by 4J Studios) will be released on April 29 – that’s only two weeks away.

The Rare blog post states that the XBLA version is “full to the brim with updates and tweaks from the original release, not least being a super-charged frame rate and some fully-featured Stop ‘N’ Swoppery”.

It’s already been revealed that the Stop ‘N’ Swop functionality will unlock blueprints for seven fan created vehicles for use in Nuts & Bolts. The machines range from a beetle to a carousel and a robot.

No price for Banjo-Tooie has been announced, although 1200 MS Points is what Microsoft is charging for the first game.
