Baldur’s Gate 3 has quickly garnered widespread acclaim mere days after its release as the massive RPG’s open-ended gameplay, brilliantly written characters, and carefully crafted lore have carried the storied D&D-inspired series to new heights. However, some fans are hoping for improvements to the game’s latter portion after numerous community members have reportedly experienced performance issues after reaching Act 3.
Luckily, it seems Larian Studios is already working on addressing these problems with Baldur’s Gate 3 acts after creative director Swen Vincke revealed their current roadmap. According to a post on Twitter, Vincke said: “We’re all very enthused by your feedback. It’s very rewarding. Our focus now is fixing any issues you report, but we are listening to suggestions.” “Current roadmap: a) Hotfix 4, b) Patch 1 (+1000 fixes and tweaks), c) Patch 2,” he continued. “The latter will already incorporate some requests.”
Of course, the lengthy fan wishlist doesn’t only include fixes to the stuttering problems found in Act 3. Some players are also asking for QoL enhancements such as access to all companions’ inventories in camp, pouches assigned to specific items, a camp stash filter, and the ability to switch party members outside of conversation among others. The latter in particular is a feature that many have been asking for since talking to a companion just to update your team starts to become tedious at a certain point.
Alas, it may not be a while until we see the arrival of this chonky patch since another hotfix is set to be released beforehand. Fortunately, Larian Studios has been active when it comes to releasing these updates so you may not have to remain patient for too long before the first massive patch arrives.
