Baldur’s Gate 3 player uses every explosive to commit virtual mass terrorism

The city of Baldur’s Gate is under attack by a devious player with a knack for gunpowder. After fighting through the entirety of Baldur’s Gate 3, one player used every explosive barrel in the game to commit mass terrorism in the game’s titular location.

With freedom like no game before it, Baldur’s Gate 3 allows you to do pretty much anything you can think of within the constraints of its fantasy world. One player has taken that freedom and turned it into a devilish penchant for destruction, blowing up crowds in the game’s biggest city.

Shared on Twitter, player Jake the Brick collected every single barrel in Larian’s RPG to craft the biggest explosion the realm has ever seen. Well, unless you let Gale die.

From the very start of the game, the player stored every single barrel—including three barrels of Runepowder in the Underdark—to commit a grand act of terrorism. With tonnes of explosives precariously placed, the player protected their party and set it all aflame to spectacular effect.

Within seconds, light flares, bodies rip apart and the game’s performance slows to a halt. When all subsides, very little is left in its wake except nameless limbs and shreds of wood. Art is an explosion, as a certain anime character would say.

“The culmination of 100+ hours of gameplay,” the player said of their actions. “I hate those f*cking fraud ass wizards.”

A celebration of freedom

Baldur’s Gate 3 is still expanding with new patches and more on the way, despite Larian moving onto new projects. However, even without new evil endings and other additional content, the freedom that Larian allows within its sandbox means that there will always be new ways to play.

For example, in the same thread, one player revealed they carried a container with every goblin inside it that creates a huge pile of limbs and viscera when destroyed. Actually, that’s also a form of terrorism, and it’s much grosser.
