Atlus has posted a new teaser video for something called Persona 5 R, which is currently in the works for PlayStation platforms.

Smart money says it's an updated re-release of Persona 5. It wouldn't really be all that surprising either, as Atlus previously went down a similar path with Persona 4 Golden a few years back on PlayStation Vita.

Still, at this point it would be nice to get a Nintendo Switch version of the acclaimed JRPG, although that could still happen. The teaser also mentions 'new projects,' so it sounds like Atlus is planning more than just Persona 5 R.

Whatever is in the pipeline will be unveiled in March, so we won't have to wait too long for more info. Persona 5 came out on PS3 and PS4 in Japan back in 2016, although only the latter version made it to the US and UK the following year.

Persona 5 has shipped over 2.2 million copies worldwide to date, which is a pretty big milestone for what is traditionally a niche franchise.
