Atari has today announced the development of N+, the successor to the award-winning flash ninja game N. The new game is to be developed by SilverBirch Studios and is scheduled to ship for PSP and Nintendo DS in November.

Building on the fluid gameplay of the original, N+ will offer equal parts platformer and action with smooth animation, fast action, amazing acrobatics and will bring a host of new features.

The DS and PSP games will offer cooperative and competitive multiplayer and level sharing, with the built-in level editor making it easy for players to expand their experience. Also look out for downloadable content.

N+ is currently without a European release date, but expect to see it some time after the game’s November release in the US.
